What a ride…

It’s such an enormous thing, at least for me, to be a part of the historic run that is and has been ComedySportz in Houston. To think about what it was like to just have joined almost 13 years ago and how so much has changed… let alone the stories I have heard from the founder, Dianah Dulany, about starting the team in 1990.

We don’t repeat this fact enough… ComedySportz is Houston’s longest running show. Not just comedy show - but any show. Week after week, every Friday and Saturday we have run (barring some very specific exceptions) and it has been that way for sometime.

While there are many factors as to what has contributed to this theater’s success over the years, the thing that stands out to me is that it continues to bring in the most incredible people, from performer to patron, time and time again. There’s a spirit about this place that exists beyond its walls, stages, and even shows we do.
